Chapter 28
Setting : Rab’s house
Deserted road
- Rory crept out of the bed and secretly try to hear who, Rab is talking on the phone.
- Rab explains that he has a plan to get Rory and Granda safely to Liverpool.
- Rab wants them to leave as soon as possible since his friends are coming in and out often and would not be able to keep their secrets.
- Rab would first, drive them to the Borders where they will meet up with his girlfriend, Annie.
- There are a hole line of people who are willing to take them to Liverpool.
- After a couple of hours, Rab finally pull over into a lay-by on a deserted road to meet up with Annie.
- Annie brings soups, tea, bread and fruits for Rory and Granda.
- Finally, Annie leads them into her green car and drives off to Liverpool.
